Day 1 continued

Sorry about that. Here are the monitors that we watched Definitely Maybe, Greys Anatomy, There will be Blood, and Jumper. Now, I know you have probably all seen TVs in the back of seats, but these are very special TVs. These are the TVs that for 9 hours straight, Alli destroyed me at Tetris. It hurt very bad.

But, there was a nice view out the window, so I couldn't feel bad for long. That was pretty much the flight. It went by fast and when we got off the plane, Thomas, one of the cats we are renting the apartment from, was there to take us to our home for two months. He drove around the old city, showed us a few things, and then dropped us off. Our apartment was on the fourth floor, so it was a good thing we made sure my suitcase was under 50 lbs...The place was actually bigger than we expected and pretty clean. Thomas suggested a place on the way to our place called Pod Slavinem. It is outside and they have two tvs, czech homestyle food and cheap prices. So we ventured out and walked to the restaurant. It was a nice walk, and when we got to the restaurant we had no idea what to do. It was pretty crowded because a futbol game was on the tv, and we didn't know if we sat down or went in this little room to order. Eventually we just sat down and somebody came and waited on us. We ordered beer, which they just use a little paper and tally marks to keep track which is kind of cool. They were out of what Barry wanted so instead we split the big special. It really was BIG. It was pretty good though, it was like pork shoulder, sausage, hairy dumplings, potatoe pancakes (which kind of look like meat and are real salty). The best part was probably the saurkraut. It didn't have as much of the tang as it does back home, was more sweet, and you could just eat it plain. The bread they served with the meal was kind of strange, a bit rubbery I guess. Anyways we paid, hoped we tipped ok and walked home. At home I got online to email and Barry went to plug in his lap top, and the lights went out, we blew a fuse...So it was dark by this time so we started rummaging for a flashlight/matches/lighter etc. Barry found a little flashlight and I found a lighter (which I broke) and lit a few candles on this weird candlabra...We messed with the box in here and just outside our door and eventually we (we being Barry) fixed it, I just got in trouble for breaking the lighter haha. Na Videnou!
