So today was a very lovely day! Barry woke up early, and me by about 6am. We had Honey Nut Cheerios, and of course they tasted different even though they had that same old bee on the box. Anyways we got the day started and were off to catch Tram 18.
We decided to take it in the same direction it dropped us off at last night to see where it takes us...by about the 4th stop it picked up a load of punk middle school kids and before we knew it it was at the end of its route, no where near where we wanted to be!!! I thought it was pretty fun and enjoy sitting and looking out the window. Barry was a bit annoyed by the time we spent doing that, he had a strange urgency to get into town. Anyways, we got on another Tram 18 and headed back the other way all the way into Old Town. We were in search of some yummy pastries for breakfast, and had looked up this place last night...Barry videotaped me taking pictures, I believe it is going to be about "What Alli Sees," sounds like a bit of a mockumentary to me!!! Here is the place we eventually wandered to.
So we got some yummy food here, Barry says it was like Dutch Letters, which his parents love. Supposedly this is the bakery that makes the bread for The Four Seasons, and they used to not have a place, but people were loving the food, so I guess they got one?! After breakfast, we headed out around town. Barry was in search of the Jewish Cemetery...But, we forgot our student IDs!!! It is going to save us a good chunk of korunas so we will go back tomorrow or some time this week. We did get a peek from below up at the graveyard, looks pretty heavy.
A little bit off track, but when we first got he it took us a while to figure out where to go...we couldn't find any street signs! It didn't take us long to figure out how they were labeled, see for yourself...
Ok so after not making it to the Jewish Cemetery, we also made the decision to veto the zoo for today, we might try tomorrow, and we headed for Old Town Square. We quickly headed to the benches and staked out one of our own. We sat here for hours and people watched, wrote, drew, drank beer, ate a brautwurst (yum-o), listened to music, took pictures, and relaxed!!! Here are some good ones...
This was our lovely view, so pretty!!!!
This is Barry back with his beer and at peace with himself!
This is me drinking my beer, no Miller Light haha.
We saw sooo many people going to get brautwurst and we eventually gave in too, it was oh so yummy, I think my fav yet! We shared it, kind of.
Above is my awesome picture of Barry drawing an awesome picture of the awesome picture I took below. The drawing is a work in progress, my photographs are finished and masterpieces of course! Once Barry finished we will make a big reveal!
This is the beer we drank today! Bubbles!
Barry happy and contemplating how to be a wonderful husband!
Interestingly gross, but maybe smart??? The horses had poop-catchers, that is my fancy word for what I really don't know what to call that, but it was new to us!
Barry paid for his first restroom visit today, later we used the WC at a mall for free. The mall by the was way cooler than our malls. Kind of futuristic, I was excited they had an H&M, but didn't get anything. I was looking for a sweater though, I was chilly today!!!
This is the club Blaine told us is fun, is that right???
We think this is the place Glenn and Jenna told us to find...??? Either way, we liked it!
Here was our view from our table, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Vlatna River.
Here is Barry's pretty view!
And mine!
Before we left a quick photo-op.
Unfortunately, on the tram ride home Barry spotted sick sick bird doo doo on my jacket. Luckily I carry wet wipes, thanks to mom of course....but as you can see it is still gross...ick!
So can't leave you with that, so I will leave you with my eager face to blog some more tomorrow hehe. Love you all!
Na videnou!
